Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 28, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how BlaBlaType uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at blablatype.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. The BlaBlaType app itself runs on your Mac and does not use website cookies to process your audio or transcripts.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember your choices, and to understand how a site is used. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels, work in a comparable way. We refer to all of these as cookies in this policy.
2. How we use cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum. We use them to operate the website, to remember basic preferences, to keep your session and Account secure, and to support payments. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or to sell your data.
3. Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary: required for the website, your Account session and checkout to function. These cannot be switched off in our systems.
- Preferences: remember choices such as your language, so the site behaves the way you expect.
- Analytics: where used, these help us understand aggregate, non-identifying usage so we can improve the site. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting them.
4. Third-party cookies
Some features rely on trusted third parties that may set their own cookies. In particular, our payment processor Stripe may set cookies to process payments securely and to help prevent fraud. Their use of cookies is governed by their own policies.
5. Your consent
Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because the site cannot work without them.
6. Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to warn you about or block them. Most browsers let you do this in their privacy or settings menu. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as checkout, from working correctly.
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond, we do not currently respond to these signals, but we keep our use of cookies minimal regardless.
8. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The date above shows when it was last revised.
